Double Glazed Units
Double-glazed units, also known as insulated glass units (IGUs), comprise of two panes of glass separated by a spacer and sealed around the edges, these units provide superior performance compared to single-pane windows. The air or gas-filled gap between the glass panes acts as an insulating barrier, reducing heat transfer between the interior and exterior of the building.
Furthermore, double-glazed units can enhance the security of a building and from an environmental standpoint, double-glazed units contribute to sustainability by reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. By minimizing heat loss in the winter and heat gain in the summer, they help to lower the carbon footprint of a building and mitigate its impact on the environment.
